. The usefulness of these cameras is undeniable, they allow you to keep on watching you, wherever you are and whenever you want, from any computer or mobile phone connected to the Internet.
They are able to do much more than sending pictures. Indeed, according to the models, they alert you by e-mail (having taken shots) when they sense movement, they can see in total darkness (night mode automatically), allow you to hear and talk to someone, you can change their angle, zoom, trigger an output device connected to the alarm etc ...
Their operation requires of course a power supply 220V (but there are models with solar panels), but also a permanent internet connection to cable or ADSL. They do not need to be connected to a computer because they are equipped with embedded web server (behavior similar to visiting a website). When you leave your home, you can just leave your modem and your camera switched on to the system is operational.
Two options are available: Wi-Fi (wireless network) or CPL (your 220V power line serves cable network). Whether it's one or the other systems shown, its installation does not require any major work at home since there will be no cable to shoot if the location of the camera is located near an AC 220V. In the case of an installation with multiple cameras, it will however, provide an additional hardware.
You can then view real time images from any web browser after it returned the IP address of the camera and your username and password. Of course you can you use both locally, eg to monitor an area from behind your computer in another room.
For those with a compatible 3G mobile phone, it will be possible to see the images the same way as on a computer, just returning to the phone camera address, username and the password login.
